We curate handloom sarees in natural fabrics like linen and Tussar, with an eye for texture, craftsmanship and timeless design. Sarees that feel rooted in tradition but belong just as naturally in the modern wardrobe.
For us, handloom isn’t something to preserve behind glass. It is something to live in.

Sometimes, coming home is what helps you see where you came from with new eyes.
After spending several years working abroad, the founder of Sutra Looms returned to her hometown of Bhagalpur when she became a mother.
Coming home brought a different perspective.
She began noticing something she had perhaps taken for granted before — the extraordinary sarees that came from her own hometown. Beautiful fabrics, distinctive textures and timeless designs, with a versatility that could take them from everyday wear to important occasions.
And yet, outside the region, their beauty remained largely undiscovered.
She began to wonder:
What if these sarees could find their way into the wardrobes of women everywhere?
That thought became Sutra Looms.
She wanted to introduce the world to the beauty of Bhagalpur’s handloom tradition, while presenting it in a way that felt relevant to the woman of today.
Especially the working woman.
The woman who walks into a meeting with confidence.
Who believes in power dressing, but doesn’t want to leave her roots behind.
Who wants what she wears to feel contemporary, yet connected to something timeless.
Sutra Looms was created for her.
